FH6 Money Guide — Fastest Ways to Earn Credits, Wheelspins & Skill Points (2026)
FH6 Money Guide — Fastest Ways to Earn Credits, Wheelspins & Skill Points

Forza Horizon 6 launched with 618 cars, and the best ones aren't cheap. A Ferrari FXX-K Evo costs millions. The Mazda 787B is locked behind hours of grinding. And you'll need credits for upgrades, tuning parts, and houses.
Here's every method that actually works — ranked from best to situational.
1. AFK Rivals — The Lazy Millionaire Method
Best for: Overnight farming. Zero effort after setup.
The Colossus Rivals AFK method is the community's go-to. It generates roughly 1 million credits per hour while you sleep.
How it works:
- Enter Rivals mode and select The Colossus event
- Pick a fast S2 or R-class car (Mercedes-AMG One works great)
- Turn on all driving assists: Auto-Steering, Auto-Braking, Traction Control
- Start the race. The assists will drive the car for you — slowly, but they finish
- Set your controller to stay connected (plug it in via USB, disable auto-off in Xbox settings)
Each Rivals lap completion awards credits + XP. At roughly 1 million CR/hour, an 8-hour overnight session nets 8 million credits.
Pro tip: The Nissan GT-R Black Edition R35 Forza Edition has a Car Mastery perk that boosts race credits. Equip it before starting the AFK session for bonus earnings.
2. Skill Point Farming — The Wheelspin Factory
Best for: Converting time into Super Wheelspins. Best combined with Car Mastery perks.
Skill points are the currency you spend in the Car Mastery tree. Many cars have perks that reward Super Wheelspins — and Super Wheelspins drop credits, rare cars, and cosmetics.
The Fastest Skill Point Farm
The Honda Civic Type R 2023 method is currently the fastest:
- Buy the Honda Civic Type R 2023 from the Autoshow (~35,000 CR)
- Max out its Car Mastery tree — the final node costs skill points and rewards a Super Wheelspin
- Farm skill points using the drift method (see below)
- Spend them on the Civic's mastery tree
- Delete or auction the Civic, buy another, repeat
Per cycle: ~50 skill points → 1 Super Wheelspin → ~50,000-250,000 CR in rewards + chance at rare cars worth millions.
Drift Farming — 10 Skill Points per Minute
The fastest way to earn skill points is drifting in the Sotoyama Ski Resort parking lot (northeast of the Snow Forest Cross Country Circuit):
- Take any car with a Drift Skill boost perk (Formula Drift cars work best)
- Go to the snowy parking lot — wide open space, few obstacles
- Chain drifts, near-misses, and wreckage skills
- Build a skill chain to 50,000 × 7.0 multiplier = 350,000 points
- Each 50,000 chain = 10 skill points (max per chain)
- Bank the chain, then start a new one immediately
You can earn 500-700 skill points per hour with this method.
3. Wheelspin Optimization — Maximize Every Spin
Best for: Getting the most value from every Wheelspin and Super Wheelspin.
Don't Spin Immediately
Regular Wheelspins are common. Super Wheelspins (3 rewards per spin) are rare. Save your Super Wheelspins until you've unlocked more cars via the Autoshow and Barn Finds — this removes those cars from the Wheelspin pool, increasing your odds of landing rare exclusives.
Buy Cheap Cars First
Wheelspins can drop any car. If you buy all the cheap Autoshow cars first (under 100,000 CR), those slots in the Wheelspin pool are replaced by either:
- Higher-value cars
- Credit rewards (often 50,000-500,000 CR)
Spending 2 million CR on cheap cars before spinning 20 Super Wheelspins can double your return.
The Peel P50 Trick
The rarest Wheelspin-only car is the 1962 Peel P50 Trolli Edition. If you spin it, do not sell it — its rarity makes it worth far more as a collection piece. Instead, farm another one via Wheelspins. Duplicates can be sold at the Auction House for 10-20 million CR to collectors.
4. Collection Journal — Structured Income
Best for: New players. Guaranteed rewards, no RNG.
The Collection Journal is FH6's structured progression system. Each category (Road Racing, Drift, Touge, Barn Finds, etc.) awards:
| Milestone | Reward |
|---|---|
| Every 50 points | Wheelspin |
| Every 250 points | Super Wheelspin |
| Category completion | Exclusive car (worth 500K-4M CR) |
| Full Journal | Mazda Furai + achievement |
Fastest categories to complete:
- Bonus Boards — 850 points for smashing all XP and Fast Travel boards. Rewards a free Ford #14 GRC Fiesta (150,000 CR value)
- Road Racing — Completing all road races gives the Lamborghini Revuelto free (saves 300,000+ CR)
- Touge & Street Rivals — Rewards the Nissan GT-R NISMO 2024 free (saves 270,000 CR)
Combined value: ~2 million CR in free cars just from Journal completion.
5. Flipping Cars — Auction House Trading
Best for: Players with some starting capital who enjoy market gameplay.
What to Buy
- New DLC cars in the first 48 hours of release — scalpers buy them out, prices spike
- Forza Edition cars with rare perks (credit boost, XP boost)
- Barn Find duplicates — players often sell their duplicate barn finds cheap
What to Sell
- Festival Playlist exclusive cars — list them 2-3 weeks after the season ends, when supply drops
- Welcome Pack cars you don't need — the Ferrari FXX-K Evo Welcome Pack sells for 3-5 million
- Wheelspin exclusives — any car marked "Wheelspin Only" in the Car Collection
The 2008 Rule
Never list a car for 24 hours. Always use the 1-hour auction option and set the starting bid at the minimum. Buyers filter by "ending soon" and bid-wars drive prices up in the final minute.
6. Race Payout Optimization — What to Actually Drive
Best for: Active players who prefer racing over grinding.
Not all races pay equally. Here's what maximizes credits per minute:
| Event | Payout (approx.) | Time | CR/min | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Colossus | 80,000-120,000 | 8-10 min | ~10,000 | Long, boring. AFK-friendly. |
| Goliath | 100,000-150,000 | 10-12 min | ~11,000 | Classic credit farm. Use FE car with credit boost. |
| Touge Sprint (any) | 20,000-30,000 | 2-3 min | ~10,000 | Fast, fun, good for skill points too |
| Horizon Open Racing | 30,000-50,000 | 5-8 min | ~6,000 | PvP bonus. Higher risk, higher fun. |
| Seasonal Championships | 40,000 + reward car | 12-15 min | Variable | Do these first — reward cars can be worth millions |
Always equip a Forza Edition car with a "Credits Boost" perk when credit farming. The difference is +20-50% per race.
7. One-Time Windfalls — Free Millions
Best for: Every player. Do these immediately.
| Method | Credits/Value | How |
|---|---|---|
| FH5 Loyalty Reward | Free Mercedes-AMG One (2.8M CR) | Auto-granted if you have FH5 save data |
| FH5/FH4/FH3 Loyalty Cars | Up to 6 free cars | Granted at first Horizon Festival visit |
| All Barn Finds | 15 free cars worth ~5.7M CR total | Unlock by earning Discover Japan Stamps |
| All Treasure Cars | 9 free cars worth ~3M CR total | Solve clues in the Festival Playlist |
| Car Mastery Freebies | Multiple free Wheelspins | Check every car's mastery tree before selling |
| Welcome Pack | 5 pre-tuned cars + free house | Included in Deluxe/Premium Edition or standalone |
Total one-time value: ~12-15 million CR in free cars and rewards just for playing through the content.
8. What NOT to Do — Credit Traps
| Trap | Why It's Bad |
|---|---|
| Buying cars at full Autoshow price | Many cars are free from Barn Finds, Wheelspins, or Journal rewards. Check your Collection first. |
| Buying Wheelspins with real money | Never. FH6 doesn't sell Wheelspins directly, but some third-party sites claim to. They're scams. |
| Selling rare cars to the Autoshow | The Autoshow pays 50% of value. Auction House pays 2-10× more for rare cars. |
| Ignoring Car Mastery trees | Many players never open this menu. Each car has free Wheelspins, credits, and XP waiting in its mastery tree. |
| Skipping seasonal events | Seasonal reward cars are exclusive. Once the season ends, they can only be obtained via Auction House — at 10-20× the cost. |
