FH6 Series 1 Hotfix — Performance, Audio & Collection Journal Fixes

Forza Horizon 6 city neon night

Forza Horizon 6 has been out for just over a week, and Playground Games is moving fast with patches. Two hotfixes have already dropped — one on launch day (May 18) and a second on May 27. Here's everything that's been fixed and what's still on the radar.

Hotfix 1 (May 18, 2026) — Version 360.259

The day-one patch addressed the most urgent issues reported during early access:

General

  • Performance and stability improvements across all platforms
  • Fixed several crash-to-desktop issues on PC
  • Improved loading times when entering the Autoshow

Collection Journal

  • Fixed cars not appearing in the Collection Journal after being won from Wheelspins
  • Resolved an issue where barn find cars wouldn't register as "collected"

Audio (PC)

  • Fixed audio crackling and dropouts on certain PC configurations
  • Resolved 5.1/7.1 surround sound channel mapping issues

Hotfix 2 (May 27, 2026) — Version 364.933

The second patch was smaller but targeted some persistent bugs:

General

  • Additional performance and stability fixes
  • Fixed a garage XP glitch that allowed players to exploit infinite XP (this was trending on Reddit and got patched quickly)

Collection Journal

  • Further fixes for collection tracking inconsistencies
  • Resolved an issue with Welcome Pack cars not showing as owned

Audio (PC)

  • Additional audio optimization for PC
  • Fixed volume balancing issues between radio and engine sounds

What's Still Broken

The community is still reporting a few issues that haven't been addressed yet:

  • Convoy disconnects — Some players report frequent disconnects during online convoys
  • Photo mode crashes — Occasional crashes when entering Photo Mode on Xbox Series S
  • Auction House delays — Bids sometimes take several minutes to register

Our Take

It's encouraging to see Playground Games shipping patches this quickly. The garage XP glitch in particular was patched within days of going viral — a sign they're actively monitoring the community. If the cadence holds, we can expect a meatier update with the Winter season change on June 4.
